Batterjee Group is a Jeddah-based family enterprise with deep roots in healthcare, hospitality, construction, engineering, manufacturing, and consumer products. As a Chief Executive, I led the strategic development of New City Development Company, a subsidiary of Saudi German Hospital Group, delivering mixed-use commercial and residential projects across Saudi Arabia and the UAE. This work laid the foundation for the Group’s IPO in 2016, forming MEHCCO PJSC. My leadership extended to the expansion of tertiary care hospitals and medical centers for Saudi German Hospital Group, as well as the rollout of the Gold’s Gym franchise throughout the Kingdom. From 2015, I oversaw the development, engineering, and operations of Batterjee Precast, a manufacturing initiative producing insulated structural concrete panels for housing projects in the Western Province under the patronage of the Ministry of Housing—advancing affordable, high-quality housing for Saudi citizens.

Drake & Scull is an integrated holding company overseeing Drake & Scull International PJSC and EMCOR Facilities Services Group, delivering specialized engineering and construction solutions across the MENA region. The Group provided MEP, HVAC, General Contracting, & FM services, with EMCOR pioneering integrated FM solutions including pre-construction consulting for hospitality, retail, & commercial developers. As the Senior Operations & Legal Executive, I directed operations, contract administration, & procurement across 2 holding and 12 operating companies. I positioned the Group to deliver EPC, Industrial Water & Power, and FM services to governments and developers in the UAE, Kuwait, Egypt, Oman, KSA, Bahrain, and Qatar, & led the development of the GCC’s first integrated FM provider. I structured joint ventures & subsidiaries in 7 countries, chaired project management teams for major regional developments, & directed the technical and organizational aspects of Drake & Scull International PJSC’s 2008 IPO on the Dubai Financial Market. In 2009, I was seconded to Emirates Holdings as Managing Director of Afra Electrical & Mechanical Systems Manufacturing Company, where I merged operations, engineering, and sales teams across four entities— Gulf Sail Steel Fabrication, Afra Electrical & Mechanical Systems, Ocyana Engineering & Design, and S.M.A.R.T. Building Systems—creating a unified platform for advanced building technologies.

I contracted Douglas to assist me as CEO of JorAMCo in dealing with customer bad debts and also in addressing other sensitive legal issues tangled up between customers and suppliers.
